<\/h2>\nA cannabis infusion is the end result of infusing THC into another substance, usually an oil with the flavor, aroma, and desired effects of cannabis.<\/p>\n

Cannabis Tinctures are highly concentrated extracts that are usually swallowed or absorbed on the tongue. They can also be specialized for different cannabinoids such as THC and CBD. Most tinctures are alcohol based, and all require activated cannabis. <\/span><\/p>\n To make a tincture you’ll need a few ingredients including:<\/span><\/p>\n 1 baking sheet<\/p>\n 1 glass jar<\/p>\n 1 glass tincture bottle with eyedropper<\/p>\n 1 small funnel<\/p>\n 1 strainer such as a coffee filter<\/p>\n An eighth of Cannabis<\/p>\n Enough high-proof, food-grade alcohol to submerge the cannabis (190 proof grain alcohol suggested)<\/p>\n First break up your cannabis over a baking sheet and place in the oven on 230 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. This process is known as Decarboxylating or “Activating” your cannabis. Once cooled, place your cannabis in a glass jar and add enough alcohol to submerge the cannabis. Seal the jar and store in a dark place for 3 weeks shaking once daily. After 3 weeks strain the mixture through a coffee filter lined funnel into the tincture bottle. Seal with the eyedropper and your finished.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cannabis infused oils are similar to tinctures in cannabinoid concentration however they’re a lot more versatile. They’re used in a variety of applications from cooking delectable edibles, to hair and skin care. To make cannabis infused oils you’re going to need some of the same ingredients.<\/p>\n Ingredients include:<\/p>\n An oil of your choice ( Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, etc.)<\/p>\n An eighth of cannabis<\/p>\n Wax paper<\/p>\n A dry glass resealable jar<\/p>\n A cheese cloth<\/p>\n First you’re going to want to activate your cannabis like in the earlier processes and fill up the glass jar about half way. Next pour room temperature oil over the herbs completely by 1 inch. Place wax paper on top of the jar before tightening the lid to protect it from any particulates. Shake the jar and place in a dark warm area. Allow the mixture to infuse for 4-6 weeks shaking the jar every few days. When ready strain your infusion through a few layers of cheesecloth into a dry glass jar. Label and store your oil in a cool dark place.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Edibles are the most common form of infusion. Most people have heard of infused foods like brownies, gummies, and cookies but it goes beyond deserts. You can infuse pastas, breads, and even beverages! Many people use infused butter and oil as a means to incorporate cannabinoids like THC to delicious effect. However cannabinoids in edibles tend to take longer to enter the bloodstream as they have to be digested. This can result in effects taking up to 45 minutes to an hour to finally kick in. Tinctures on the other hand can have effects within 15-25 minutes.
