Activating Cannabis
To make any edible you’ll first need to have some form of concentrate, infused or activated cannabis. You can activate cannabis by using an oven. First you’ll need to break up cannabis flower over a baking sheet. Bake at 220-245 degrees for 30-40 minutes and you’re done. Once activated you can can infuse and combine it with any variety of ingredients.
Cannabis Infused Tea with Rose and Lavender
This is the perfect soothing recipe for bedtime, especially with the tea’s lavender and jasmine aroma. Here’s wat you need:
1 tablespoon blue cornflower petals (optional)
1 tablespoon food-safe dried rose petals
1 tablespoon food-safe dried lavender
5mg THC tincture
Combine the tea ingredients. Steep 1 teaspoon of the tea blend in 1½ cups of boiling water for 5 minutes or until infused. Finally add your 5mg tincture and stir white granulated sugar to taste.
Cannabis Infused Olive Oil
This recipe is essentially a concentrate. It’s great for pasta dishes, salads, pretty much anything that uses olive oil. To infuse olive oil you’ll need:
3 ½ grams cannabis flower (see Notes below), about 1⁄8 ounce
3 tablespoons distilled water
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
In a small saucepan, combine oil and ground cannabis in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes. Finally let the oil steep for 30 minutes and then strain over a fine mesh sieve! Place oil in an airtight container and refrigerate.
Cannabis Infused Herb and Garlic Pasta
This recipe is a perfect as an end of the night dish. It’s a light yet savory dish that’s sure to fill your stomach! You’ll need:
3 crushed cloves of garlic
8 ounces thin spaghetti or angel hair pasta
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
10 tablespoons cannabutter or Infused Olive Oil
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
¼ teaspoon Himalayan salt
Pinch of table salt
Black pepper to taste
Like all pasta you’ll first need to season your water. Add enough salt to taste to a large pot and bring to a boil. Add your thin spaghetti or angel hair and cook until al-dente. While you’re cooking your pasta you’ll want to combine cannabuter/infused olive oil, red pepper flakes, and garlic in a saucepan on low-medium heat. Sautee for about 4-5 minutes and turn off/remove from the burner. Wisk in your parmesan cheese and pasta until the parmesan has melted and the texture has emulsified. Mix in your herbs and portion to serve.
