Now that cannabis flower has been legalized across the state of MA for everyone above the age of 21 growing you own cannabis plants has become increasingly popular. For raw cannabis flower you are allowed to have up to 1 ounce on your person with a maximum allowed limit of 10oz ounces at home. As for cannabis plants each adult above the age of 21+ is allowed to grow up to 6 plants, with a maximum of 12 plants per household. That means if there are two adults living in a home, they are both legally allowed to grow there 6 plants. These plants need to be properly secured and out of public sight. The cannabis you cultivate will be illegal to sell unless already licensed as a caregiver. It is advised to read over the laws and guidelines individually before attempting to cultivate.
