Holyoke Cannabis Dispensary: How To Handle a Moonrock | 02/15/22
âMoonrocksâ are simple. Theyâre cannabis flower buds, dipped in hash oil, and then rolled in kief or bubble-hash. This increases potency as most regular flower buds hover around 20% THC, compared to the average moonrock which sits around 50%. Though easy to create and very potent, moonrocks can be a hassle to smoke if you donât have the right tools, or plan on using standard ones. For example, your average flower grinder is probably one of the worst tools to use for moonrocks for their thick greasy texture. You are going to want to take and rip the moonrocks apart manually, piece by piece for best results. Glassware is another must have tool if you plan on smoking moonrocks for the same reasons you shouldnât use the grinder. Their chunky texture can clog and make it difficult to clean non-glass pipes. A bong or glass pipe should be your go to smoking apparatus for moonrocks. Lastly you should try putting your moonrocks on top of a bed of flower before smoking. Their texture can make them difficult to start and maintain a light otherwise.
To create your own moonrocks youâre going to want dense nugs of your favorite flower. Next, youâll want to grab a liquid concentrate of some kind whether it be hash oil or wax. Use a dropper to coat the buds in the liquid concentrate to prevent over-saturation. Next use tongs to roll and coat the buds completely in kief before finally letting them dry. Enjoy!
