In Massachusetts, you can purchase up to 1,000 mg of edibles per day, in accordance with state regulations.

If you’re new to edibles, start with a single serving — usually 5–10 mg of THC. Wait at least 2 hours before deciding to take more. Edibles travel through the digestive system, so they take longer to kick in and often feel stronger than smoking or vaping.

Some people metabolize edibles differently. Eating them with food that contains healthy fats (like nuts or cheese) can help with absorption. If you’ve been waiting 2+ hours and still feel nothing, your digestive system may simply process THC in a way that’s less noticeable.

With flower, effects appear within 1–15 minutes and fade after a couple of hours. Edibles can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in and may last 4–8 hours. The effects of edibles are often reported as more full-body and longer-lasting.

CBD is often chosen for relaxation and lowering stress. Some people find a small amount of THC enhances this effect, while others prefer CBD-only edibles for calmness without intoxication.

Balanced 1:1 CBD-to-THC edibles are often reported to help with pain. Some people prefer higher-THC options, while others favor CBD-heavy products. Start with a low dosage and see what works for you.
