Directions

Getting Here From West Springfield

West Springfield does not have an adult-use shop of its own, so wherever you buy, you are crossing a town line. Holyoke is the one straight north, and the drive is about as simple as it gets: Route 5 up the west bank, or I-91 North onto I-391 into downtown. You can see what is in stock before you go.

From Riverdale Street and the Route 5 Corridor

This is the simplest run there is. Route 5 north out of the Riverdale strip follows the west bank of the river straight into Holyoke without putting you on a highway at all. Figure about seven miles and fifteen minutes or so from the middle of the strip, a little more if you catch the lights. If you are already out running errands on Riverdale, you are most of the way here.

From Memorial Avenue, Merrick and the Big E Grounds

Pick up I-91 North from the Memorial Avenue side of town and stay on it to I-391, which drops you into downtown Holyoke a few turns from Dwight Street. On a clear run it is a little over fifteen minutes. During Big E season, expect the roads around the Eastern States Exposition grounds to add time getting out of the neighborhood — that is the stretch of the year when Route 5 is usually the faster of the two.

From Mittineague, Tatham and the West Side of Town

From the western end of town the usual path is Route 20 east to Route 5 north, or cut over to I-91 if you would rather stay on the highway for most of it. Either way it is closer to twenty minutes than fifteen — still a short drive rather than a trip, and the part of town most likely to want to order ahead.

Where to park, and what the door looks like. We are at 380 Dwight Street, Suite 3, in a historic mill building in downtown Holyoke. If you are driving in from out of town, parking is usually the part people worry about, so: there is a large free parking lot right out front. No meters, no time limit, no hunting for a space on the street. The main entrance is step-free — park and walk straight in, no stairs. If the downtown grid is unfamiliar, call (413) 322-8611 and we will walk you in.

The drive: Route 5 north up the west bank, or I-91 North onto I-391 — about 9.5 miles and roughly fifteen minutes from the middle of town. Free parking in our own lot when you get here.

Why us

Worth the Drive Up Route 5

Here is the honest version. West Springfield has no adult-use retailer of its own, and for some of you the options across the river are closer than we are. These are the reasons West Springfield customers give us for coming north instead.

It is a straight line. Route 5 north is a road most of the town already drives. There is nothing to navigate — you stay on it until you are here.

Order ahead, so the drive ends at a counter and not a queue. This matters more on a fifteen-minute trip than a five-minute one. Place your order before you leave and the drive is the wait — you arrive, show ID, and go.

Holyoke Cannabis grows some of its own flower. It runs in-house cultivation on proprietary strains and buys direct from Pioneer Valley cultivators, with our procurement manager selecting brands by hand.

The concentrate shelf. Concentrates are the category we go furthest on: live rosin, badder, sugar, sauce, diamonds, hash and RSO syringes. If you are chasing a format rather than just a product, that range is the thing worth building a trip around.

Staff who will actually talk to you. No condescension for a first-timer, no lecturing a regular. Ask a basic question and get a straight answer. That is the whole operating principle at our Holyoke dispensary.

We are an independent shop. Holyoke Cannabis has been independently owned since 2021, founded here and located downtown on purpose, as part of what has been rebuilding on Dwight Street.

And parking is not a problem — a large free lot out front, step-free at the door, seconds from car to counter.

Hours

Open Until 11PM: Late-Night Dispensary Hours Near West Springfield

Holyoke Cannabis is open 8AM to 11PM, Monday through Sunday. Holidays included unless we post otherwise.

That is the whole of it — not a promotion, nothing to enroll in, just when the doors are open.

It matters mostly for planning. If you are coming up Route 5 after work, you are not racing an early close. If you keep an early schedule, the 8AM open means you can stop on the way rather than building a separate trip around it. Either way, order ahead on the menu and we will hold it under your name until we close.

Selection

What’s On the Menu

The menu is live and tracks the shelf, so what is online is what is in the building. Worth a look before you drive, particularly if you are coming from the far side of the city.

We run our own grow, so flower is where the menu starts.

Flower

Cannabis flower grown at Holyoke Cannabis — Massachusetts craft cultivation

We run our own cultivation, and that is the part that shapes the rest of the shelf. A share of the flower menu is grown in-house on proprietary strains you will not find under another name, and most of what carries the HC Exclusives label is flower out of that grow.

The rest comes from Pioneer Valley cultivators we buy from directly rather than through a distributor, with our procurement manager selecting brands by hand. All of it is Massachusetts lab-tested, with TAC and THC printed plainly on the label so you are reading numbers instead of interpreting a name. Stock turns over constantly — if something you liked is gone by your next trip, ask.

Pre-Rolls

Pre-rolls in singles and multipacks, including rolls made from our own flower. If you want to try what the grow is producing without committing to an eighth, that is the easiest place to start.

Vapes

Vapes and cartridges across the common hardware types, so whatever battery you already own has something that fits it. If you are not sure what you are holding, bring it in and ask.

Concentrates

Live rosin, badder, sugar, sauce, diamonds, hash and RSO syringes — real range across formats and textures, not three variations on one thing. If you are chasing a particular format rather than just a product, this is the shelf worth the trip. See the current concentrates selection.

Edibles

A working range of edibles across the usual formats. They take longer to take effect than anything you inhale, so if edibles are new to you, say so at the counter and someone will talk it through with you before you buy.

We also carry tinctures and topicals. Not the widest shelf in the city on every one of those, and we would rather say so than pretend.

Pickup

How Ordering and Pickup Works

1. Order on our menu. You will get a confirmation.

2. We pull it and hold it under your name until we close.

3. Show ID at the express pickup window — a separate counter from the browsing line — pay, and you are out.

Walk-ins are always welcome. Ordering ahead just moves you to the express pickup window instead of the main line, and on a drive this length that is the difference between a quick stop and an errand. From the Riverdale strip you can order before you pull out and it will be ready well before you reach Holyoke.

Holyoke Cannabis does not deliver. Pickup and in-store only. Massachusetts delivery licenses are currently restricted to a specific class of applicants, and Holyoke Cannabis is not one of them — so there is no delivery to West Springfield, and none coming that we can promise. If you want it tonight, come get it.

The rules

Is Cannabis Legal in West Springfield?

Yes. Adults 21 and over may legally purchase cannabis from any licensed Massachusetts adult-use retailer. There is no residency requirement — and because Massachusetts lets each municipality decide whether to host retail cannabis at all, where you can legally possess cannabis and where you can legally buy it are two different maps. Living in West Springfield does not limit where you shop. Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older. We check every customer, every visit, no exceptions.

Massachusetts sets limits on how much cannabis an adult may buy in a single transaction. Following the April 2026 statutory update, those limits are up to 2 ounces of flower, up to 10 grams of THC in concentrate, or up to 1,000 mg of THC in edibles. These are state limits, not store policy. We break the current limits down in full in our guide to how much cannabis you can buy and possess in Massachusetts.

Holyoke Cannabis is a licensed Massachusetts adult-use retailer. We are not a medical dispensary and we do not serve medical patients as patients.

En español

Se Habla Español

Atendemos en español. Holyoke and the communities along this stretch of the river share a large Puerto Rican population, and a number of our team members speak Spanish — so if you would rather shop, ask questions, or work through the menu in Spanish, that is not a problem here.

If you would like Spanish assistance on a particular visit, call ahead at (413) 322-8611 and we will let you know who is on shift.

West Springfield Dispensary FAQ

About seven miles from the Riverdale Street corridor, typically fifteen minutes or so straight up Route 5. From the Memorial Avenue side it is a similar time on I-91 North and I-391. From Mittineague and the western end of town, figure closer to twenty minutes.

11:00 PM, seven days a week. We open at 8:00 AM and stay open until 11:00 PM every day, Monday through Sunday, holidays included unless we post otherwise. If you are heading home late up Route 5, you have time.

No. Any adult 21 or older with a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID can purchase at any licensed Massachusetts adult-use retailer, whatever city or state they live in. No residency requirement, no registration, no card of any kind.

Any valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older. A Massachusetts driver’s license, an out-of-state license, a state ID card, a US passport or passport card, and a military ID all work — in-state, out-of-state and international. There is no Massachusetts residency requirement and no cannabis card of any kind. We check ID on every visit, and your ID is checked for age verification only — we do not retain or store your information.

Yes, and it is the way to do it on this drive. Order on our menu before you leave, we hold it under your name until close, and you show ID at the express pickup window — a separate counter from the browsing line — when you arrive.

No. Holyoke Cannabis is pickup and in-store only. Massachusetts delivery licenses remain restricted to a specific class of applicants and we do not hold one, so we cannot deliver to West Springfield or anywhere else. Please plan on picking up in person.

There is a large free parking lot right out front at 380 Dwight Street — no meters, no time limit, and no need to look for a space on the street. The main entrance is step-free from the lot, so there are no stairs between the car and the counter.

Massachusetts sets the limit, not the store. Following the April 2026 statutory update, an adult may purchase up to 2 ounces of flower, up to 10 grams of THC in concentrate, or up to 1,000 mg of THC in edibles in a single transaction.

Cash and debit cards. Holyoke Cannabis does not accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Venmo — cannabis is still federally illegal, so the major card networks will not process dispensary transactions anywhere in the country. There is an ATM on site if you need it; standard ATM fees apply. Worth sorting out before you leave West Springfield.

No. Massachusetts law restricts licensed adult-use retail floors to adults 21 and over, so no one under 21 may enter, including children — plan for them to wait in the car or at home. Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside.

No appointment needed. Walk in any time Holyoke Cannabis is open, 8AM to 11PM, seven days a week. Ordering ahead is optional; it just moves you to the express pickup window instead of the browsing line.
