A licensed Massachusetts adult-use dispensary at 380 Dwight Street in downtown Holyoke — directly across the Connecticut River from South Hadley, minutes over the Route 116 bridge. Open 8AM to 11PM, seven days a week. Adults 21+ with valid photo ID.
South Hadley is the closest of our neighboring towns by a wide margin. Holyoke is directly across the river, and for most of South Hadley getting here is one road and one bridge: Route 116 across the Connecticut. You can see what is in stock before you go — though on this drive you may well beat the confirmation email.
If you are in the Falls, this is not really a drive. Route 116 west across the bridge puts you in Holyoke in about nine minutes, a little over three miles door to door. Plenty of people in this part of town are closer to us than to the middle of their own.
Head south on Route 116 through the Falls and across the bridge — around four miles, ten minutes in normal traffic. From the college it is a straight run down the same road, with no turns worth writing down.
From the Granby Road side, Route 202 west into South Hadley center, then Route 116 down through the Falls and over the river. Add five minutes or so to the trip from the town center. This is the longest version of the drive and it is still comfortably under fifteen minutes.
Where to park, and what the door looks like. We are at 380 Dwight Street, Suite 3, in a historic mill building in downtown Holyoke. If you are driving in from out of town, parking is usually the part people worry about, so: there is free street parking on Dwight Street and the blocks around it. No garage, no meters, no hunting. The main entrance is step-free — sidewalk straight to the counter, no stairs. If the downtown grid is unfamiliar, call (413) 322-8611 and we will walk you in.
The drive: Route 116 west across the Connecticut River — about 4.8 miles and roughly ten minutes from the town centre. Free street parking when you get here.
Here is the honest version. South Hadley residents have options in both directions, and we are one of the closest of them — close enough that “worth the drive” is barely the right phrase. These are the reasons South Hadley customers give us for crossing the bridge.
Proximity, first. For much of the town we are the nearest licensed adult-use retailer there is. The river reads like a boundary on a map and functions like a bridge in practice.
Order ahead if you are in a hurry. On a drive this short the ordering step is the only part that takes any time — place it before you leave the house and you arrive, show ID, and go.
Holyoke Cannabis grows some of its own flower. It runs in-house cultivation on proprietary strains and buys direct from Pioneer Valley cultivators, with our procurement manager selecting brands by hand.
The concentrate shelf. Concentrates are the category we go furthest on: live rosin, badder, sugar, sauce, diamonds, hash and RSO syringes. If you are chasing a format rather than just a product, that range is the thing worth building a trip around.
Staff who will actually talk to you. No condescension for a first-timer, no lecturing a regular. Ask a basic question and get a straight answer. That is the whole operating principle at our Holyoke dispensary.
We are an independent shop. Holyoke Cannabis has been independently owned since 2021, founded here and located downtown on purpose, as part of what has been rebuilding on Dwight Street.
And parking is not a problem — free on the street, step-free at the door, seconds from car to counter.
Holyoke Cannabis is open 8AM to 11PM, Monday through Sunday. Holidays included unless we post otherwise.
That is the whole of it — not a promotion, nothing to enroll in, just when the doors are open.
From this side of the river the practical effect is that there is rarely a wrong time to come. A few minutes over the Route 116 bridge, a wide window at both ends of the day, and an order you can place from the house and collect on the way past. Order on the menu and we will hold it under your name until we close.
The menu is live and tracks the shelf, so what is online is what is in the building. Worth a look before you drive, particularly if you are coming from the far side of the city.
We run our own grow, so flower is where the menu starts.
We run our own cultivation, and that is the part that shapes the rest of the shelf. A share of the flower menu is grown in-house on proprietary strains you will not find under another name, and most of what carries the HC Exclusives label is flower out of that grow.
The rest comes from Pioneer Valley cultivators we buy from directly rather than through a distributor, with our procurement manager selecting brands by hand. All of it is Massachusetts lab-tested, with TAC and THC printed plainly on the label so you are reading numbers instead of interpreting a name. Stock turns over constantly — if something you liked is gone by your next trip, ask.
Pre-rolls in singles and multipacks, including rolls made from our own flower. If you want to try what the grow is producing without committing to an eighth, that is the easiest place to start.
Vapes and cartridges across the common hardware types, so whatever battery you already own has something that fits it. If you are not sure what you are holding, bring it in and ask.
Live rosin, badder, sugar, sauce, diamonds, hash and RSO syringes — real range across formats and textures, not three variations on one thing. If you are chasing a particular format rather than just a product, this is the shelf worth the trip. See the current concentrates selection.
A working range of edibles across the usual formats. They take longer to take effect than anything you inhale, so if edibles are new to you, say so at the counter and someone will talk it through with you before you buy.
We also carry tinctures and topicals. Not the widest shelf in the city on every one of those, and we would rather say so than pretend.
1. Order on our menu. You will get a confirmation.
2. We pull it and hold it under your name until we close.
3. Show ID at the express pickup window — a separate counter from the browsing line — pay, and you are out.
Walk-ins are always welcome. Ordering ahead just removes the browsing step. On a drive this short you can place the order as you leave the house and it will be pulled by the time you are over the bridge.
Holyoke Cannabis does not deliver. Pickup and in-store only. Massachusetts delivery licenses are currently restricted to a specific class of applicants, and Holyoke Cannabis is not one of them — so there is no delivery to South Hadley, close as it is, and none coming that we can promise.
“This place is just amazing. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and always know their strains.”
“Genuine, friendly people with quality products. Simple, efficient in/out without lines, or hassle. One of the better dispensaries in the area, check them out!”
“My first experience here felt like Christmas morning. A sweet scent of skunky pine filled the room. Everyone had smiles stretching to their ears. I immediately knew I had found my go to spot. The quality is top notch and the prices are great compared to the other options in the area. The staff knows what they are talking about and the area is kept very clean.”
“I had an amazing experience at Holyoke Cannabis. They had a great selection and the staff was extremely helpful. The environment is a fresh and modern take on the traditional smoke shop, with less incense and more clean lines and hardwood. I will definitely be returning here again”
Yes. Adults 21 and over may legally purchase cannabis from any licensed Massachusetts adult-use retailer. There is no residency requirement — and because Massachusetts lets each municipality decide whether to host retail cannabis at all, where you can legally possess cannabis and where you can legally buy it are two different maps. Living in South Hadley does not limit where you shop. Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older. We check every customer, every visit, no exceptions.
Massachusetts sets limits on how much cannabis an adult may buy in a single transaction. Following the April 2026 statutory update, those limits are up to 2 ounces of flower, up to 10 grams of THC in concentrate, or up to 1,000 mg of THC in edibles. These are state limits, not store policy. We break the current limits down in full in our guide to how much cannabis you can buy and possess in Massachusetts.
Holyoke Cannabis is a licensed Massachusetts adult-use retailer. We are not a medical dispensary and we do not serve medical patients as patients.
Atendemos en español. Holyoke and the communities along this stretch of the river share a large Puerto Rican population, and a number of our team members speak Spanish — so if you would rather shop, ask questions, or work through the menu in Spanish, that is not a problem here.
If you would like Spanish assistance on a particular visit, call ahead at (413) 322-8611 and we will let you know who is on shift.

Any valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older. Yes, and it is the way to do it on this drive. Order on our menu before you leave, we hold it under your name until close, and you show ID at the express pickup window — a separate counter from the browsing line — when you arrive.
No. Holyoke Cannabis is pickup and in-store only. Massachusetts delivery licenses remain restricted to a specific class of applicants and we do not hold one, so we cannot deliver to South Hadley or anywhere else — being just across the river does not change that. Please plan on picking up in person.
Free street parking on Dwight Street and the surrounding blocks — no garage, no meters. The main entrance is step-free from the sidewalk, so there are no stairs between the car and the counter.

Cash and debit cards. Holyoke Cannabis does not accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Venmo — cannabis is still federally illegal, so the major card networks will not process dispensary transactions anywhere in the country. There is an ATM on site if you need it; standard ATM fees apply. Worth sorting out before you leave South Hadley.
No. Massachusetts law restricts licensed adult-use retail floors to adults 21 and over, so no one under 21 may enter, including children — plan for them to wait in the car or at home. Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside.
No appointment needed. Walk in any time Holyoke Cannabis is open, 8AM to 11PM, seven days a week. Ordering ahead is optional; it just moves you to the express pickup window instead of the browsing line.
